I’ve received dozens of emails from those of you who appreciated Kathy Cash’s comments on Amazon’s review section (in response to one ugly post - that has since been removed, by the way). I will be sure to pass along your thoughts and comments to her, and I know she will appreciate them! I am just as proud of her, as you are. She has always been unwavering in her support of her mother, and doing the right thing. Kathy’s comment:
Kathleen Cash-Tittle (Tennessee) - See all my reviewsOkay, I realize you may think I’m prejudiced, but I WAS THERE and also lived this story. (more…)

Here’s a “hello” out to Amazon.com users out there, as we go live on AmazonConnect! Let’s see if this thing really works…

Just returned home tonight from Phoenix where last night I was at the most fantastic bookstore I’ve been to in a long while… Changing Hands bookstore in Tempe AZ. Definitely go out of your way to visit this store, if you’re ever passing through the area. It’s well worth it! I’m a connoisseur of stores and shopping… trust me. Anyway, the books, the store, the management, and the visitors to my “talk” were the best. Several of you who were there last night promised to stay in touch with me here on this site. Thanks! I’m looking forward to hearing from all of you! Gotta go get some much-needed sleep now… zzzzz

I will miss you my friend… our long talks, lazy walks on the farm, our gourmet equestrian picnics (we did look like the perfect Ralph Lauren advertisement, didn’t we?), long hacks, futzing around the barn, numerous concerts (too many to mention, but let’s’ see… Merle Haggard, Lyle Lovett, Johnny Lang… “This is why we live in Nashville!” I’ll always remember you shouting at each one), girls night out dinners at Wild Iris, …. have fun with Calypso my sweet friend, until I see you both again! I love you.Alexander’s public service a true legacy for Tennessee

The other night, I was with a group of friends and shared this revelation - this epiphany I had - with them. It’s simply this: Everything women need to know about how to live with men (and how to deal with men) can be learned from “horsemanship.” I was stunned the other day (as I was re-reading parts of the book “Seabiscuit” when cleaning up the pile of books by my bed) when I realized the similarities between dealing with horses and dealing with men. Who knew?
First of all, there are different kinds of horses, just like different kinds of men. (more…)

I met Prince Lorenzo Borghese today (you know, from “The Bachelor”). He’s a really nice guy. And he’s MUCH cuter in person! And if you’re wondering (like I was) just how things ended up after the show, and who he’s dating, here’s a peek at that part of the conversation. It was very interesting!: (more…)

Happy New Year everyone! I’ve missed talking with you. Hopefully now with the holidays over and things starting to get back to normal, I hope to be “around” more. That’s my intention, anyway. We’ll see… (more…)

Hi all… The weather’s growing colder now, it’s the end of October, the leaves are changing… all this can only mean one thing: time to put up the Christmas tree. I know, I know, it’s early… but like I told my husband (on the phone at the time - out of town - after my 6-year-old spilled the beans to him about us putting up the tree), and said husband voiced mild objection to said Christmas tree going up … my only explanation was “… that’s what we do!” Indeed, our friends have learned that come every Halloween, there’s a good chance to see a mixture of Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas decorations at our house.
That’s what we do! (more…)

Welcome to the launch of annsharpsteen.com! I have to admit it’s taken some time to get used to the thought of having my own web site (the mere idea seemed a little ridiculous at first… still does actually), but I’ve been successfully persuaded into doing it. So, yeehaw, here we are!
As you can see, the site is still very much under construction, so please check back often. We’ll have new things added periodically (as often as I can persuade my loving husband and brilliant web master to add them), and I will try to keep you posted on developments related to “I Walked the Line” and other goings-on that may, or may not, be of interest. Anyway, stop by often! Ann
